Fastlane: The Complete Series
I honestly had no interest in watching this series whatsoever when I received it. I remember hen The Fast and the Furious came out on DVD and the insane people who worked around me rushing out to by five copies of it at lunch and I really couldn't understand why. It was all pretty crazy to me, and when this series aired on FOX it really didn't appeal to me. When I started watching it recently I was really surprised at how good it was.
McG was pretty much an unknown when he stared this show, but now he is quickly becoming a Hollywood go-to guy (he is starting the promising new Terminator franchise.) You can see him hone his creative skills in the excellent storytelling he did with this show. But, like so many other great series, FOX canceled it before it's time. This series at least made it to a full season, but prepare yourself for disappointment on the final episode.
All in all, a great series to grab from a fantastic director, and with only Weeds on to tide you over till this fall, this is pretty great timing for the release..
