Gossip Girl Season One Review From the creator of the T.V. series ‘The O.C.’ comes the adaptation of the Gossip Girl books by Cecily von Ziegesar.
The show follows the fabulous lives of New York Upper East Side high school students and is narrated by none other than herself, Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is in the know to all of the juicy secrets and scandals of the students and their families and exploits them on her blog. Not to mention the text alerts she sends out to all the characters and their friends when she updates.
As a reader of the Gossip Girl books I was excited to find they were making a T.V. series but never had the time to watch it until I had received it in the mail to review. Being such a fan of the book when I was younger, I was only disappointed that the show didn’t follow the book EXACTLY. I am excited to say the show is as equally addicting as the book was. Of course, the show isn’t going to float everyone’s boat and it’s a little less creepy watching what are supposed to be 16 year olds having sex and making out when they look more like 23.
If you don’t mind your teen watching underage binge drinking, the usage of drugs and (this is supposed to be a good review) sexual content then go ahead and pick it up. Or better yet, buy the books. They’re totally addicting.
And Going...Great, another PS3 system is added to the pile.
The new unit shipping in November is 160Gb and comes packed with a Dualshock 3, Uncharted (really, really killer game) and a PAIN coupon.
Rumor has it that this model will only have the two USB ports and not be backwards compatible, which is a huge mistake if it is true. Losing PS2 games is a big suck, but it is rather difficult to play Rock Band with only two USB ports..
Sims 3 landing in February EA just dropped word that my real social life will be ending in February due to the fact that I will be spending all waking hours mating with other Sims in the newest edition to one of the greatest games that they have ever put out.
This time around it looks as though I will need to upgrade my PC by at least $2300 just to play at the lowest quality since they seem to not simply tie you down to your own lot anymore.
Man, I can't wait to have my girlfriend dump me for this..
PSP-3000 is official -UPDATE-Sony took the opportunity today to announce the latest upgrade to their PSP line at the Leipzig Games Convention. The new unit will come with a better anit-glare screen and a built in mic (both are big improvements, trust me) but it will look almost exactly like the PSP-2000.
I guess it's cool, but I'd really like something that has better compatability with the PS3 and that could play more movie files. It only took me a week of owning the PSP Phat before I modded it out so I could play PS one games and watch any type of file I threw at it. Also, it was really sweet at playing NES and SNES games, which was what I used it for more than anything..
Superman Reboot? For me there are few things in this world that can do no wrong, and one of those things is Superman. I freaking dig everything Superman. I have even stuck with Smallville through all this crazy Lana crap just to see Tom Welling finally put the cape on and jet out of there (which he has yet to do).
Variety is now reporting that a reboot ala Batman Begins may be in the works for the franchise. I don't really know what to feel about this. On the one hand, I still don't understand why everyone hated the last move so much, and on the other side I kinda want Superman to be back in the cool pile.
I have been saying it for a while now, no reboot yet. Just do the FREAKING DEATH OF SUPERMAN story already. Seriously guys, there were lines at the comic stores when it happened. Singer and Routh would do a fantastic job at it too. Hell, have Doomsday kill his kid! Then kill Superman! Movie over! No one would expect it! Well, I would, but it would be sweet.

Tiny Toons Season 1 Review Ahh Tiny Toons.. The memories just come flooding back to me. I found it rather eerie that I actually remembered the entire theme song. I was really surprised at how well this show withstood the test of time, and the fact that all the nieces and nephews actually enjoyed sitting back and slamming through almost two solid hours of the show with me. Even my five month old seemed entertained (in between deciding which shoe to eat). The series is a total throwback to the original WB cartoon characters, but repackaged for a new generation, which really worked in this case. This was a cartoon that I really don't mind having on while watching the kids, and have 35 episodes in just one season means I wont be watching the same ones over and over. I would say that this is definitely worth picking up for any fan of the WB cartoons.
Freakazoid: The First Season Review Right, so I was a little old for cartoons of this type when it came out originally and I missed the reairing of the show on Cartoon Network. After slamming through the first season I have to say that I am not all that impressed with the show. The story is pretty wacky and the title charachter really misses the mark for me. The show was meant to be humorous but viewing it as an adult it seemed as thought the creators were just trying too hard to create a "superhero" that was funny. The entire show feels as though it came from an executive board meeting rather than from a creative place. But what can I say, the nieces and nephews seemed to enjoy watching a couple episodes (although the girls started whining about watching Enchanted halfway through the first episode). Where other WB cartoons hit the mark for me, this one missed it.
