  Gossip Girl Season One Review

From the creator of the T.V. series ‘The O.C.’ comes the adaptation of the Gossip Girl books by Cecily von Ziegesar.

The show follows the fabulous lives of New York Upper East Side high school students and is narrated by none other than herself, Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is in the know to all of the juicy secrets and scandals of the students and their families and exploits them on her blog. Not to mention the text alerts she sends out to all the characters and their friends when she updates.

As a reader of the Gossip Girl books I was excited to find they were making a T.V. series but never had the time to watch it until I had received it in the mail to review. Being such a fan of the book when I was younger, I was only disappointed that the show didn’t follow the book EXACTLY. I am excited to say the show is as equally addicting as the book was. Of course, the show isn’t going to float everyone’s boat and it’s a little less creepy watching what are supposed to be 16 year olds having sex and making out when they look more like 23.

If you don’t mind your teen watching underage binge drinking, the usage of drugs and (this is supposed to be a good review) sexual content then go ahead and pick it up. Or better yet, buy the books. They’re totally addicting.
